Why are silicone moulds better than plaster moulds?
Duh..uh !
- With rubber moulds you hardly have to worry about undercuts!!!,
- They pick up fine detail.
- You can make a rubber mould of almost any kind of object.
(exceptions to be discussed)
- Rubber moulds can be used again and again and again without
surface deterioration.
- you can cast positives in a huge range of materials: plaster, cement,
resin, plastics, other rubber, glue compounds, jelly, chocolate .....
-A rubber mould peels easily off the cast positive, virtually eliminating the
danger of damage to the cast during demoulding
