Joseph Gaylard

Joseph Gaylard is a researcher, writer and project manager. During the course of the past ten years he has led or provided technical assistance to a range of industry research and policy/strategy development projects across the creative industries, and has been an occasional lecturer at the WITS School of Arts. His creative work has involved extended engagement with the intersection of people and place, with  particular focus on experimental public art practice in the inner city of Johannesburg as part of the artists collective the Joubert Park Project. He has a BA (Fine Arts) and BA History of Art (Honours) degree from the University of Cape Town.

Kebone Ramasimong

Kebone was born in 1985 in Sebokeng, and studied fine arts at the University of Johannesburg. Ramasimong's work in mixed media scultpure explores the use of found objects in speaking about universal issues such as domesticity, women in power and the representation of women in society. She has taken part in numerous workshops and projects across South Africa.  Kebone has a show on VUT FM which broadcasts Thursday evening from 9pm - 10pm where she tackles the problem of alcoholism in Sedibeng, an issue which, as she frequently notes, has some resonance for her colleagues at VANSA too. She lives in Sebokeng, south of Johannesburg.

Lester Adams

Lester Adams is an artist, curator and project manager who studied at Wits and currently lives and works in Johannesburg. Previous engagements include curation and project management particularly in photography practice and various involvements in independent contemporary art platforms.

Audrey Anderson

Audrey Anderson is a practicing visual artist specialising in book art, illustration and drawing in general as a form of communication. She has exhibited her works in many group exhibition, collaborations and has had three project-based solo exhibitions at galleries in Johannesburg and Cape Town. She completed her a BA dregree in fine arts at the University of Pretoria. Since then she has worked in galleries, curated shows, developed visual arts projects based in Pretoria and lectures occasionally at the University of Pretoria Fine Arts Department. In the past year she has been working on VANSA's on line communications projects including the VANSA national website, Gauteng membership and national newsletters.

Lauren von Gogh

Lauren von Gogh completed her BAFA at the Wits School of Arts in 2008 and went on to complete a two year studio based programme at the HISK in Gent, Belgium. Together with Robyn Cook, she started the artist run platform Sober & Lonely Institute for Contemporary Art in 2011.
