POSITION: RESEARCHER (FULL TIME)

Qualification:
BA (Fine Arts) Degree, preferable Honours or Masters in Fine Arts / Art
History

Experience:
No specific gallery experience is required, but a proven ability to research
and write is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

 *   Writing articles and essays on artists, artworks, exhibitions and the
art market

·         Researching and putting together valuations and sales appraisals
of artworks

·         Administering art portfolio management

·         Research for catalogues

·         General administration

Skills required:

 1.  Strong interest and knowledge in art
 2.  Attention to detail
 3.  Computer literate (MS Office)
 4.  Creative approach

5.    Write eloquently whilst following briefs, under demanding deadlines

The candidate will also be required to attend exhibition openings and
functions as well as to work one week end per month.

 Salary: Negotiable
