Brodie/Stevenson was launched in November 2008 as a partnership between David Brodie, who established Art Extra in Johannesburg, and Michael Stevenson gallery, Cape Town.
The gallery's programme of curated group, solo and two-person shows brings together established and emerging artists and aims to contribute to critical debates around contemporary art practice. Brodie/Stevenson is now located in the contemporary arts cluster that has evolved in Braamfontein, an inner city suburb in Johannesburg.
